鶏鉾「稚児天冠」

 

The Gion Matsuri Saki-Matsuri procession concluded safely yesterday.

This year, we had the honor of restoring the crown of the chigo (sacred child) doll for the Niwatori-hoko float.

Because the day of the procession coincided with a class day at Doshisha Women's College of Liberal Arts,

I unfortunately had to watch it on television. Seeing the Niwatori-hoko float, with its newly restored wheels, moving majestically, along with the elegant chigo doll, truly stirred my heart.
